Our Mission
We exist to provide biblical training for pastors and church leaders who do not otherwise have access to it. We do this by building Pastor Training Centers in underserved areas. Most have never received pastoral or theological education - yet such training can be life-changing, not only for them but for their churches and communities.
We provide instruction in theology, biblical studies, leadership, evangelism, missions, and discipleship to empower pastors and strengthen churches. Shepherding leaders is essential to advancing the Kingdom of God. Our mission is to equip pastors to lead spiritually vibrant churches with excellence in righteousness and kingdom living.
Our Story
Journey in the Word Ministries, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Newnan, GA, dedicated to serving ministries across the world. Dr. Craig, Founder and President, felt called by God to start this ministry. In 2010, he began training pastors and church leaders among the Roma gypsies in Ukraine, Hungary, and Romania. Over the years, Dr. Craig and his team traveled extensively throughout Central Eastern Europe, engaging with Roma churches and meeting humanitarian needs. Today, Journey in the Word Ministries continues this work by developing Pastor Training Centers in under-resourced areas, providing leadership development for church and business leaders, and addressing critical humanitarian needs in hurting regions around the world.

- Biblical Curriculum
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God. It serves as the foundation for our curriculum, which is rooted in Scripture and enriched with practical insights, illustrations, and relevant commentary from trusted sources. - Jesus-Centered Leadership
We believe Jesus is the ultimate model for leadership—in life, ministry, and business. All leadership development flows from His example, emphasizing servant-hearted, transformational influence. - Helping Without Hurting
We believe that under-resourced communities face countless needs, but assistance must be thoughtful and sustainable. Empowering pastors and leaders to meet local needs can create lasting, holistic impact without fostering dependency. - Indigenous Replication

APPROACH - Journey in the Word Ministries
Journey in the Word Ministries fulfills its mission, beliefs, and values through the strategic development of Pastor Training Centers, leadership development courses, and sustainable humanitarian aid—all within the local context of the pastors we serve.
- Pastor Training Centers
Pastors will participate in a two-year program consisting of 12 theological and practical ministry courses, held every other month. At the conclusion of each course, participants will receive curriculum they can use to train others in their ministry network. Upon completing the program, pastors will graduate in a formal ceremony. Training centers will be established in under-resourced regions where there is a concentrated need for religious education among pastors. - Leadership Development Courses
These courses are designed to equip both church and community leaders to bridge the gap between faith and everyday life. Participants from religious and business backgrounds will be encouraged to collaborate in finding sustainable, locally-driven solutions that foster community flourishing. - Humanitarian Aid
In partnership with local pastors, we will support community development through targeted aid efforts, including clean water, food, clothing, and job creation. Our goal is to empower communities with resources and tools for long-term sustainability, rather than short-term relief alone.

Journey in the Word Ministries trains leaders in churches and businesses using Lead Like Jesus Encounters. Leadership is vital for church and community health, and under-resourced areas often lack this training. You can help provide critical leadership development to transform communities.
Humanitarian Aid
Journey in the Word Ministries is dedicated to providing humanitarian aid, including food, clothing, and clean drinking water. Many under-resourced pastors come from struggling villages. While the physical needs in our world are vast, the ministry is committed to helping wherever and however we can, guided by the Lord's direction.
